Stomach ache is one of the most common ailments, which can be experienced anywhere in the abdominal region, the area that falls between the chest and groin. What to eat and drink for immediate relief from pain ?
  • If the pain is due to acidity or gas, drinking plain soda water provides immediate relief. You can also squeeze in some lemons and add a pinch of salt into the this. Mix and Drink.
  • Add two teaspoons of lemon juice in 50 ml of warm water. This helps in all kinds of stomach aches. You can add one gram of rock salt powder in this and take this at least thrice a day.
  • Drink regular tea with freshly squeezed lemon or honey. Do not put sugar in the tea if you are drinking it with lemon or honey. This will definately help in the relaxation of the stomach.
  • Take equal amounts of dry ginger, black pepper, dry mint leaves, coriander, roasted cumin seeds, asafoetida, garlic and rock salt. Grind them and make a fine powder. Taking one or half teaspoon of this powder with warm water gives relief from stomach ache.
  • Mix 1 to 3 grams of carom seeds seeds with warm water, with little bit of rock salt added to it. In case rock salt is not available, common salt can be used. Drink this mixture. It relieves stomach ache.
  • Take a little quantity of aniseeds. Put them in one cup water for about 4 hours. Then strain and drink this water. It is better to soak the aniseeds overnight, and drink it in the next morning.
  • Take an apple and cut it into two pieces. Cut up and remove core. Leave the skin on, sprinkle with a little sugar and ginger. Microwave for about 45 sec and eat the apple when warm. The slight heating releases the pectin.
  • Take Lime sherbert and Sprite. Put few teaspoons of lime sherbet in a glass and fill half way with sprite. And drink this.
  • Take a piece of ginger, keep on biting the ginger and swallow the juice. This is one of the easy and fastest cure of stomach ache.Pomegranates are helpful in relieving stomach pain. Take a bowl of pomegranate seeds, sprinkle some salt and black pepper. Eat the seeds and make sure to chew them properly.
  • For chronic stomach pain, take half a liter of water, add 2 grams each of fennel seeds and black currants. Soak it overnight. The next morning, mash the contents in water and add a gram of sugar. In the morning, have this concoction daily. This gives relief from chronic stomach ache.

Hot Water Pack
Another effective way too treat stomach ache is to apply a hot towel pack on the pain area. You can also take a hot shower and relax. A warm heating pad relaxes the stomach muscles. It works for minor stomach aches. If this is a constant daily problem, see your doctor.
